Coach Skibbe decided to field the formation with only one forward but with offensive midfield. Instead of best scorer Gekas, the only forward will be Bulykin supported by Kiesling, Barbarez and Barnetta from the midfield. Leverkusen started losing points at worst possible moment, for they have taken only one point in the last three matches so Hertha arrive at just the right time since they have beat them in the last four matches. Injured Haggui, Vidal, Schneider and Ramelow won’t be able to play due to injuries.
Serbian internationals, Gojko Kacar and Marko Pantelic helped Hertha solve the game already in the first half an hour against Karlsruher.
Pantelic’s return saw Hertha start scoring more than one goal per match which brought about better results. Mentioned attacker will be the forward in Berlin side line-up supported by Piszczek, Raffael and Kacar from the midfield. Coach Favre’s problem could be the absence of captain Friedrich in stead of who Mineiro will probably get the chance. Lucio, Ebert, Schmidt, Grahn, Andre Lima, Cubukcu and Gang also won’t play due to injuries.
From 16 games between this 2, only 2 was ended in 1-1, rest of them al least 3goals. LEverkusen must win anyway.
