Rangers captain Barry Ferguson will set a new record when he leads his side out against Werder Bremen in the first leg of their Uefa Cup last 16 tie at Ibrox.
Ferguson will make his 77th European appearance, surpassing Dundee United great David Narey's record.
The home side will be without striker Jean-Claude Darcheville as he serves the final match of his three-game European ban.
Daniel Cousin and Kris Boyd are battling it out to replace Darcheville in attack.
Gers boss Walter Smith has no other injury worries to contend with as he looks to gain a positive result to take to Germany next week.
Werder Bremen strikers Ivan Klasnic and Hugo Almeida are both expected to play despite being slight doubts.
Brazilian ace Diego is available, although he is currently suspended in the Bundesliga. Bremen come into the game in reasonable domestic form, but with Bayern still hot favourites to regain the Bundesliga title the UEFA Cup represents a super chance for Werder and it is a competition they are rightly taking seriously, following a comprehensive 4-0 aggregate win over Braga in the last game.
